Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport

Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport is an airport built to serve the city of Qingdao in Shandong Province, China. Approved in December 2013, it replaces the existing Qingdao Liuting International Airport as the city's main airport. It is located in Jiaodong, Jiaozhou, 39 kilometers (24 miles) from central Qingdao. Following its completion in 2019, it became the largest airport in Shandong. By 2025, the new airport will have 178 aircraft stands and provide transport services for 35 million passengers and 500,000 tons of cargo per year. By 2045, a total of 290 aircraft stands is expected, handling 55 million passengers and one million tons of cargo.
